Dr. Emmanouil Mathioulakis is Director of Research at SESL of NCSRD. He has a Diploma in Chemical Engineering (1981, National Technical University of Athens) and pursued Postgraduate Studies at the University of Paris XII. His main area of expertise is solar thermal energy and its applications, metrology of energy quantities and study of the heat and mass transfer phenomena in solar distillation – desalination systems.
He has been scientific responsible for a large number of national and European research projects and has been involved in managing, planning and implementation of research activities within the execution of national and European research programs. He has supervised Ph.D., postgraduate and graduate theses and developed several new products and services in the field of solar thermal energy and energy saving applications and has authored or co-authored a big number of scientific works (for more details http://www.solar.demokritos.gr/PUBLICATIONS_en.html).
