Maria Gini is a postdoctoral researcher at I.N.R.A.S.T.E.S., NCSR «Demokritos». She holds a BSc in Physics (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, 2006) and an MSc in Environmental Physics (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, 2008). Having received a four-year fellowship from NCSR «Demokritos», she was awarded a PhD in Environmental Physics by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2015). Her research activities focus on the physical and chemical characterization of ambient aerosols, the development of novel nuclear and experimental techniques for aerosol characterization, air quality and GHGs, nanoparticle metrology and aerosol-based nanotechnology, dosimetry and exposure assessment, air mass trajectory analysis. She has been involved in several European and Νational research projects, as a member of the research team, and in ACTRIS (Aerosols, Clouds, and Trace Gases Research InfraStructure network) and PANACEA (PANhellenic infrastructure for Atmospheric Composition and climatE change) activities.
