Vasiliki Dellatola works as a Research Assistant in Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory of National Center for Scientific Research (NCSR) “Demokritos”, that is a reference laboratory for hereditary cancer syndromes in Greece. She also participates in the implementation of the project of the Hellenic Precision Medicine Network on Cancer. She obtained her BSc in 2016 in Biology from the University of Patras and in 2018 her MSc in Medical Genetics with Honors from the University of Athens, School of Medicine in collaboration with the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory of NCSR “Demokritos”. She has presented two posters in National Conferences in 2015 and 2018. She participated in multiple research projects of the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, presented in National and International Conferences, including the European and American Society of Human Genetics. Two of the aforementioned projects were awarded as best oral presentations in National Conferences in 2019 and 2020. Her scientific interests focus on studying hereditary cancer syndromes and more specifically the molecular mechanisms and genetic alterations of cancer predisposing genes of breast/ovarian and brain cancer.
