APOSTOLOPOULOU ADAMANTIA

Adamantia Apostolopoulou received her BSc in Chemistry in 2019 from the Department of Chemistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, while her BSc thesis, was conducted at Charles University in Prague, due to Erasmus Studies program. Since 2019, she is a MSc Student in the field of Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry in the Institute of Nuclear & Radiological Sciences & Technology, Energy & Safety, in National and Scientific Research Institute “Demokritos”, in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy (NKUA). Her MSc thesis is entitled “Radiolabeling of Gold Nanoparticles with 99mTc-carbonyls for SPECT Imaging”. The aim of the project, is to radiolabel Gold Nanoparticles (AuNPs) of different sizes, which are functionalized with thiol ligands (because thiols lead to the formation of strong Au-S bonds) that allow direct labeling with 99mTc-carbonyls.
