The European “Bacq and Alexander Award” for 2020 has been awarded to Dr. Gabriel Pantelias, Emeritus Researcher of the Institute of Nuclear & Radiological Sciences and Technology, Energy & Safety. This award was established in 1996 by the European Radiation Research Society (ERRS). It is presented each year to an eminent European scientist in recognition of his research achievements promoting scientific knowledge in the physico-biochemical, radiobiological and medical aspects of the action and biological effects of radiation. The special award ceremony will take place in his honor at the annual conference of ERRS in Lund, Sweden, in September 2020.
