Dimitra Tsounidi received her B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry in 2015 and M.S. Degree in “Analytical Chemistry and Nanotechnology” in 2017 from the Department of Chemistry of University of Patras. Her master thesis was performed at the Immunoassays/Immunosensors Laboratory of INRASTES of NCSR “Demokritos”. Since 2017, she is a Ph.D. candidate of the Department of Chemistry of University of Patras and a recipient of an Industrial Scholarship of Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Through this scholarship, she cooperates with ThetaMetrisis S.A., for the development of a bioanalytical system based on an optical immunosensor for the simultaneous determination of a panel of biomarkers related to sepsis diagnosis. Her PhD thesis is performed at the Immunoassays/Immunosensors Laboratory of INRASTES of NCSR “Demokritos”. Her research interests include the development of immunoassay methods and optical biosensors and their application in the fields of healthcare and food safety, the molecular techniques and the methods for surface chemical modification and biofunctionalization, while she is author of three publications in peer-reviewed international Journals.
