Danai Bouziotis received her BSc from the department of chemistry in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 2019. Since then she has been working on her postgraduate thesis on “Bispecific targeting of prostate cancer – Labelling of peptides with  double targeting for diagnosis, in vitro evaluation in cancer cell lines & biodistribution study in healthy experimental animals and pathological models” at the Institute of Nuclear and Radiological Sciences  and Technology, Energy and Safety of NCSR “Demokritos” as an MSc student in “Design and Development of New Pharmaceuticals – Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry” of the department of Pharmceutical Science in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). The object of the study is the development and preparation of diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals for cancer, with emphasis on the radiolabeling of molecules mainly with the isotope Ga-68 fot the imaging of prostate cancer with PET/CT. Furthermore, the in vitro evaluation of labeled peptides in cancer cells and the biodistribution in normal experimental animals and pathological models are studied. For the above purposes, she uses the following techniques: High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), Multichannel Radioisotope Analyzer, Radioactivity Counters, Optical Microscope, Capillary Electrophoresis Device.
