Sotiria (Iro) Triantopoulou has graduated from the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). She has received her Master of Science in Medical Physics and currently she is a PhD student of the Medical Physics Department, Medical School of the University of Crete. The PhD thesis is realised in collaboration with the Health Physics, Radiobiology & Cytogenetics Laboratory of the Institute of Nuclear and Radiological Sciences and Technology, Energy and Safety of NCSR “Demokritos”, where she is also working since October 2019.

She investigates the potential radiosensitizing action of new quinazolines derivatives with anticancer activity in human cancer cell lines that overexpress receptors of the ErbB family.

She is also a part of the team that deal with the Biodosimetry and Radiation Protection Program of the NCSR “Demokritos”.
