Scientific Collaborator, Environmental Engineer

Michail Pachoulis MSc, Research Collaborator at the Atmospheric Chemistry and Innovative Technologies Laboratory (AirTech-Lab), is an Environmental Engineer (Department of Environmental Engineering & Pollution Control, Institution of Western Macedonia, 2018) with a master degree on Management of Environmental Health Effects (Medical School of Athens, 2020). Since 2018, he has collaborated with NSCR Demokritos as postgraduate student, scientific collaborator and research assistance and he has participated in European and National research projects in the field of air quality and potential effects in public health (e.g. ENVESOME The Environmental Exposome And Health HORIZON 2028, Particulate Matter Speciation Study at Mesaieed Industrial City and Dukhan Qatar, LIFE VISIONS – InnoVative photocatalytIc paintS for healthy envirOnment and eNergy Saving, ISEO – Intelligent Specialized Environmental Observatory in Messinia). He possesses valuable experience in conducting experimental studies involving large-scale measurements, monitoring air quality equipment, and employing statistical and mathematical models to correlate air pollution data with potential human health effects and population health risk assessments (e.g. respiratory and cardiovascular problems, carcinogenesis). Additionally, he engages in environmental services for public and private entities, which encompasses air quality assessments in various settings, including indoor and outdoor environments (e.g. schools, hospitals, industries, homes). Furthermore, he possesses an extensive background in scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars, including active participation through presentations, posters, and publications in scientific journals.
